Facial massage and why you need it!

September 12, 2017

So today I'm going to talk to you all about facial massage. Why you should do it and what are the benefits for this super quick facial work out. It is something I've done for years but many clients seem unsure of trying it themselves I think mainly because they are worried about doing it wrong or ending up with a very oily face. If you are worried about this try it before bed which will give your skin the longest time to soak up all that lovely oil. A couple of drops is sufficient and use long sweeping upwards motions.

The benefits of a bit of facial yoga are:

Dead skin cells are loosened and shed. This improves the appearance of the skin, exposing younger fresher cells.

The muscles in your face receive an improved supply of oxygenated blood which is essential for cell growth. The tone and strength of the facial muscles are improved and this firms the facial contour.

Skin colour is improved and the increased circulation makes it feel beautifully relaxing.

As you are speeding up lymphatic circulation you are speeding up the rate at which toxins and waste products are expelled. This helps purify the skin and makes it appear less puffy.

You will stimulate your sebaceous glands which will help regulate the skins natural oil and moisture balance.

Massaging your skin softens it and it also helps your products be more effectively absorbed which helps you get more bang for your buck as your products will be working the absolute best they can for you.

These days there is a facial oil available for all skin types these are a few of my favourites.

First up the Frankincense facial oil by NYR Organic

I love this oil because this luxurious oil is not only being it suitable for use on all skin types but it has kick ass antiaging benefits.

Secondly is one this our very own Duchess of Cambridge is reported to use and let’s face it she has great skin, doesn’t she? It's Rosehip oil packed with skin correcting vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids.

Thirdly  I'm putting in a great all rounder as I love a product that can work hard it's Argan oil, this wonder product is as good on your hair as it is on your skin and can be used to condition the hair and to reduce blow dry time as well as protecting your skin from weather damage and fine lines. This is one of the best nature has to offer.

My only word of warning with all oils is to make sure that they are from a quality organic sustainable source so that you can be assured the highest quality product.

If you like this post email me and I'll even send you a free facial massage routine.
